Hey guys!
Welcome to the 7 day heart chakra study! I am so glad that you are here! This is the forth week of the 7 week chakra study. In the next 7 days we are going to take a look at forgiveness; compassion, self-awareness; self-love; and our openness to change. WE are going to get closer to our spirituality and love for humanity!
*Just a quick side note in case you are new to this, we will be partaking in a Chakra study/cleansing get-to-know-yourself 7 week full body scan that includes 1 week of focus on each of the chakras, which is a system of energy that originates from India dating back to as far as 2000 BCE (a long, long, long time ago!). By learning more about this system, how it works in your body, and how you can connect to the different parts, you will begin to establish a deeper connection with your mind, your body, and your spirit. We are one with the universe my friends.
*If you are new to chakra study and you would like to know more about them, you can preview our article Sacred Chakra Check-In and Show Up Let’s Review! We began by working with our roots, the lowest of our energy system and the closest to the ground. Our foundations. In the second week, we dug deep within our emotional selves and we identified not only emotional blockages we carry, but also how we respond to those of others. We discussed how over-active chakras can be just as menacing to our spirituality as under-active. During our third week we looked at how we perceive ourselves, recognize our need to have confidence and unity within ourselves, and became more aware of what we want in our lives. We are not about to embark on another journey of self-discovery, this one being the source of forgiveness and empathy. Here, we will be reflecting on our memories and how our own emotions or stressors can be blocking us from spirit. The heart chakra is at the center of our chest. It includes the circulatory system, the heart, lungs, and Thymus gland. The heart chakra is associated with air. It is also known as the Anihata for “unbeaten” or “unhurt.” When the heart is balanced, you feel connected to the universe and to yourself. There is a calmness or stillness within. Love in all its forms, from the beauty of the world around you to the beauty of yourself within, is felt. You are able to accept others for their natural form, you seek understanding in times of challenges in a way that is balanced and controlled, and you find that you are recognizing how truly amazing it feels to be alive. We are at peace. Finally, forgiveness is simple because you have developed empathy for others, including yourself. But when anahata is imbalanced, things can go awry. At the physical level, there may be poor circulation, heart pains or palpitations, anxiety, and blood pressure problems. On an emotional level, we are struggling with forgiving others, so probably holding grudges (been there, done that!). We are focusing on others' mistakes more than we need to, manipulating situations, having a hard time communicating our emotions, coming up with excuses to avoid our feelings, dwelling on things, having a hard time committing or trusting others, and we may even be feeling depressed or unworthy. Spiritually we are just not connected. So, if this is you (or if this is not, and you are just here to explore), you have come to the right place. By spending a full week, 7 days, with this energy wheel, you can get to know yourself and your connection to the sacral more deeply. You can work to open your energy, build skills to help you remain centered, and you can move on to the next level feeling prepared. That being said, on this journey I have given you a set of daily experiences that you can commit to trying. These experiences may include the use of color work, music, crystals, journal reflections, or positive affirmations. Do one, do all...but in so doing any of them, keep your feelers on and have fun! I am so glad you are here to embark on this journey with me!! Let’s Begin! Some things that may be helpful to use over the course of this week: Green clothing Blank mandalas adult (or children’s) coloring pages and shades of green crayons, markers, pencils Journal for reflecting *I suggest you play heart chakra music of your choice while writing and coloring-click the links for suggestions in the daily guide. Green candles Meditation mat *Suggested meditation music: heart focus; guided meditation; sleep music; healing chants; song bowl Possible crystals to help open the root: Emerald, green stones, malachite, rhodonite, rose quartz Possible incense: rose, sandalwood, mint Happy Rooting! Another side note, as you work to open and balance your heart chakra you may notice small changes. You may notice an increase in anxiety-this is normal, breathe affirmations into it. You may also experience heart pain, breathing issues, or we may find that we are overly critical of ourselves and of others-forgive and move forward. This is also normal. I have empathy for others. I choose peace. Blessings! You Might Also Like
