Hey guys!
Welcome to the 7 day crown chakra study! I am so glad that you are here! This is the seventh and last week of the 7 week chakra study. In the next 7 days we are going to take a look at our spiritual connections, our universal knowledge, our ability to release, and our perspective on life. *Just a quick side note in case you are new to this, we are partaking in a Chakra study/cleansing get-to-know-yourself 7 week full body scan that includes 1 week of focus on each of the chakras, which is a system of energy that originates from India dating back to as far as 2000 BCE (a long, long, long time ago!). By learning more about this system, how it works in your body, and how you can connect to the different parts, you will begin to establish a deeper connection with your mind, your body, and your spirit. We are one with the universe my friends. *If you are new to chakra study and you would like to know more about them, you can preview our article Sacred Chakra Check-In and Show Up Let’s Review! We began by working with our roots, the lowest of our energy system and the closest to the ground. Our foundations. In the second week, we dug deep within our emotional selves and we identified not only emotional blockages we carry, but also how we respond to those of others. We discussed how over-active chakras can be just as menacing to our spirituality as under-active. During our third week we looked at how we perceive ourselves, recognized our need to have confidence and unity within ourselves, and became more aware of what we want in our lives. With the heart chakra, we examined our habits of forgiveness, empathy, self-discovery, and compassion. On to the throat chakra, we worked on connecting with our inner voice, how we communicate to others, and we began to open ourselves up to our higher self. Moving into the third eye, we examined our perspectives on life and our existence. We opened up to a new awareness that we couldn’t perceive before. We learned that our perceptions impact our ability to understand the world around us and in order to read in between the lines we need to deep dive into our ethical understandings and develop our intuitive nature with guidance from our higher self. Now we move into our final resting place, the last and highest of the seven chakras; the crown. The crown chakra is centered above your head, literally at your ‘crown.’ Although it has an association with the central nervous system and the brain, the main body function related to the crown is the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is the main ‘boss’ and is responsible for telling the other glands what to do, hormone distribution, and endocrine function. SInce it is the highest of all chakras, it is the master chakra, the center of thought. It is also known as Sahasrara, or petals. When the crown is balanced, you feel balanced. Your thoughts and emotions are in control, you are connected to yourself and aware of others, you are open to new possibilities, and you have a deep understanding of you, your role in the universe, and your relationship with the divine. Your selfish tendencies are brought to light and you are less likely to partake in them. You are achieving goals that align to your higher purpose in this life. You have an established sense of stability between emotion and reason. You also have developed or are in the process of developing your intuitive spiritual gifts, you may be able to see auras and energy fields, and you have an overall feeling of enlightenment and connection to the wisdom of the universe. But when Sahasrara is imbalanced (in the case of this chakra, we often find that it is more likely overactive than otherwise), there may be negative implications. At the physical level, like the third eye, headaches are common. There may also be feelings of fogginess, aloofness, hair loss or tingling sensations, neurological disorders, and sensitivity to bright lights or sounds. This may also lead to more serious health problems such as brain tumors, forgetfulness, or epilepsy. On an emotional level, we are feeling like we are disassociated with others or our life purpose. We may feel depressed, lonely or isolated, and find ourselves in thought patterns that don’t serve our higher purpose. It is possible that Ego is in more control here than we may want to recognize. Spiritually, we are caught up in our own beliefs and ideals or we are closed off to spirituality altogether. We may feel challenged by others’ perspectives so much that we choose to alienate ourselves. We are partaking in activities that are not aligned with our higher selves and we are in constant conflict with what we want vs what the universe wants for us. If this is you (or if this is not, and you are just here to explore), you have come to the right place. By spending a full week, 7 days, with this energy wheel, you can get to know yourself and your connection to the crown more deeply. You can work to fine tune your spiritual gifts, connect to the wisdom of the universe, and uncover your own life path. That being said, on this journey I have given you a set of daily experiences that you can commit to trying. These experiences may include the use of color work, music, crystals, journal reflections, or positive affirmations. Do one, do all...but in so doing any of them, keep your feelers on and have fun! Hey guys!
Welcome to the 7 day third eye chakra study! I am so glad that you are here! This is the sixth week of the 7 week chakra study. In the next 7 days we are going to take a look at our perspectives, our intuition, and our perceptions of duality, life, and human nature. During our heart chakra, we examined our habits of forgiveness, empathy, self-discovery, and compassion. Most recently, we completed our journey with our throat chakra by connecting with our inner voice, how we communicate to others, and we began to open ourselves up to our higher self. We are working up the chakra systems and now are ready to recognize how our perceptions impact our ability to understand the world around us in order to read in between the lines, deep dive into our ethical understandings, and develop our intuitive nature with guidance from our higher self. The third eye chakra lies just above your eyebrows at the center of your forehead. It includes the central nervous systems, the brows, forehead, eyes, lower brain, pituitary and pineal glands. Third eye chakra is also known as the light chakra, which is a combination of all other elements: air, water, earth, and fire!! It is also known as the Ajna for “sight.” When the third eye is balanced, you have a clear sense of right and wrong and a deeper understanding of natural effects. Your selfish tendencies are brought to light and you are less likely to partake in them and you are achieving goals that align to your higher purpose in this life. You have an established sense of balance between emotion and reason. You also have developed or are in the process of developing your intuitive spiritual gifts, you may be able to see auras and energy fields, and you have an overall feeling of enlightenment and connection to the wisdom of the universe. But when ajna is imbalanced, things are difficult. At the physical level, headaches are common. There may be sleep deprivation by insomnia, and memory is impacted. We may also be having an increased number of hallucinations or nightmares, poor vision, or sinus troubles. Our hormones may feel imbalanced and we may be experiencing vertigo. On an emotional level, we are feeling like we have a lack of purpose or drive. We feel gullible, lost in the rational moment of thought, non-committal, forceful, self-critical, or disassociated with how your words, thoughts, and actions impact others negatively. Spiritually, we are closed off to the ethereal realm and to seeing our own future clearly. We may also have disbelief and self-conflicting stories of how we got to where we are, feeling unmotivated, or are blocked by our own pessimism or unrealistic fantasies. If this is you (or if this is not, and you are just here to explore), you have come to the right place. By spending a full week, 7 days, with this energy wheel, you can get to know yourself and your connection to the third eye more deeply.
